I don't think it's you. I bet you anything this company doesn't have the money to hire you. I would also bet money the people canceling on you did so because they're being run ragged working the job of 2-3 people since "AI makes you more productive." This is a common story right now - lots of people out of work, but the ones who do have a job are overworked. Companies squeezing all they can out of people.
