This, then AI will be used to evaluate the slop. But those people will use ai to try to circumvent it (this is already happening). Out of the last people I interviewed, I caught every single one using AI. Fortunately my panel all agreed to bounce those candidates, but partially the rationale was they also were lying about a lot of things that I caught. Recruiting is just going to get even harder than it already was. If people who don't know shit can bumble their way through technical interviews and do a sloppy half assed job leveraging AI... its just going to drive the cost of those positions and quality of the work down and the mistakes; up until companies have to abandon using AI then aggressively fire people who can't do the work
