There are more chance automated systems are used to kill civilians domestically and abroad than some hacking done on the units once deployed.
I expect more intense development of bioweapons and better delivery systems to punish the population of countries sending automated attack devices. That could be one way to counter an ennemy you cannot reach on the battlefield.
