It's not a lie. Reddit on the big subs is a weird anti-AI bubble\*, that acts as if everyone using it is an ignorant idiot too stupid to think from themselves. Everyone in my software engineering bubble works or at least experiments with AI coding tools like claude code to find out what works for them. \* There are a lot of downsides surrounding AI, including cultural and societal downsides that are important to discuss. Using ai-driven coding tools does not automatically create good applications. But telling yourself that claude code only writes slop and you're the only one who sees through it does not help you, or anyone else.
