30+ years experience here.
The Claude Code thing is completely legit; it has gotten seriously good and ignoring it is a folly.
I don't think anyone can predict whether the industry is cooked or not, who survives and who doesn't.
But my take is the tools have changed, and adapting is our best hope of survival.
