We really need to update both international and domestic law to make any qualified person in the decision chain of deploying AI legally binding for all its decisions. With, should the AI's actions be labelled a crime, having the burden of proof on **their** end.
AI **must** confidently work **better** than a human. Always. And even then I would exclude it from most military decisionmaking, not only for ethics but also authoritarian abuse and concentration of power.
