It’s not AI taking away jobs. Currently, these large organizations with these large layoffs are using AI as an excuse for the cuts. In actuality, it’s about reducing headcount with the focus on the bottom line - AI is just a cover for them.
It used to be that Wall Street frowned whenever a company had mass layoffs, now its quite the opposite. Now, whenever there are layoffs, the Stock goes up, and the C-level and board members are happy.
