It's mostly because the tech bros find us annoying.
And no, LLMs can't replace programmers. They'll never get that good. The whole model of LLMs has real, intrinsic limitations that the tech bros are begging us to ignore by making AI obsequious by default. They know that most of their manager bros are narcissists, complete suckers for affirmation. So they made a device that encourages manic behavior, like spending a lot of money on a chatbot because you think it can replace devs.
