It has already happened. The internet is definitely not the same it used to be even a few years ago. Google searches are mostly crap (just try searching for computer stuff, you get the same 3 versus style ai generated websites popup for everything). Anandtech is totally gone. Reddit is losing tons of subs all the time. Most videos are stuck behind tiktok/insta that requires app and account to even see.
