I'm a huge proponent of the tech, I use it a lot and my main interest going forward is designing systems that use them. With that said, GPT5 does feel like the beginning of the bubble burst. We can't get around the fact that these systems work by burning ungodly amounts of compute, and improving performance just means burning more compute. If you want to get anywhere close to human levels of performance, you need to spend a lot of money. Companies don't want to hear that, they want their $20/month copilot licenses to replace devs, which is just laughable.
