Also another thing with your comment "without a constant stream of human generated content this sort of AI collapse is inevitable" We would have to be making so much more art than we are right now, its basically scraped as much as it can infact it did that in the first year and a half, we can't make 2 decades worth of content every year? xD and because they Released the Ai gen tools it made the problem worse for themselves. Its like someone finishing their meal and starts eating their own arm >_> NFTS Block chains and AI Gen are just "answers" to problems that never actually had a question, and honestly your doing a good job if they are pissed at you! <3 I think the worst outcome is just how easily people are duped by AI art, Like i get it if someones paying for the top notch versions and releasing realistic pictures of events that never happened (or the pope in a puffy white jacket) and its just on your feed as your scrolling, But people will genuinely comment on obvious AI art and be like "what a beautiful child with his wonderful peace of art" The child in question having an unnaturally smooth skin tone and twelve more toes, while the art is like jesus mixed with a fish ??? Some are bots but way too many are real people and have ... what im Assuming are real eyes? that sort of reaction scares me but also makes me appreciate that its probably one of the reasons that go into people just sometimes.... Not caring about art in the least :/
