The greatest hurdle ive had working at Google is not being able to see my direct impact. Ive been there for three years and in my previous jobs, I would work directly with clients and get to see a smiling face anytime something was fixed/improved/implemented. At Google its like "We are seeing an influx of X with problem Z, please try to fix this" And once its fixed the resounding response is "Good work your doing your job". Im still employed there. Google has treated me very very well. Its the only company of that scale that I can honestly say cares about mental health and well being. But im just so so burnt out, I cant see my direct impact aside from Sasquatch memes made by AI and other things. I feel like Google cant really develop anything substantial and beneficiary to humankind as a whole aside from a hook and sinker approach. Im addicted to youtube shorts, I dont use gmail, Google in general is still the best search engine in my opinion. So I agree I think the company is just so massive and so ambitious its uncertain on how to go about things. Also there are complications with chip manufacturers, cost of work and cost of parts. \*\*\*EDIT\*\*\* Oh! Google maps, Google maps is in fact goated and probably the best product they have released. Real life impact on our lives.
