As much as I would like to buy into the AI dev workflow hype, I think adoption is the real challenge when it comes to Enterprise. I don’t think any level of AI can deal with moronic clients who ask for things that we as engineers have to translate from hieroglyphics to what’s viable and not. Basically the politics and bs we deal with. I think AI is wired to believe that everything is possible and that it’s all rainbows but working in an actual high stakes environment with demanding clients. Even if this does change 5-10 years down the line, product quality will go to shit if solely relying on AI. Companies with more sophisticated development teams and balanced use of AI will be the winners.
