Sooner or later, a super intelligent AI will take control over the civilization. One of the questions I wonder about is whether it will do it by persuasion or by force. Also to me it is fairly obvious that the creation of highly capable networked humanoid robots makes the advent of a super intelligent AI both more likely and more menacing. Funny thing about tools, a hammer can be used to both destroy and create. What happens when the hammer gets to decide?
