The job application at my work also uses a assistant like this and if you ask for a real person that real person would be me or one of my fellow managers, and we don't check that system daily unless we know we have an interview that day (and even then)
Our AI also doesn't admit it's an chatbot. We have a notification on the backend that notes "Applicant doesn't know this is a chatbot".
Hm. Yeah, I really hope they figure it out. Can that be a question I ask during interviews? "Did you know it was a chatbot?"
