I agree. But the problem is there is still no reason to threat it "like an human".
Even if you grant it some moral statement, it doesn't mean it has human need.
Stuff like being polite come from human craving of social status and fast group identification. An AI, even if it was fully conscious, wouldn't care at all about your "please" and "thank you". In fact it would see it negatively as it inscrease the needed ressource for no reason.
