Well, lets look at every other invention that's made programmers more productive: IDEs, syntax highlighting, type safety, automated testing...
Did any of these reduce the demand for software developers? Or did they all massively increase the demand for devs, since devs became more productive, making custom software drastically cheaper per dollar of salary spent by businesses?
I'm really baffled how people smart enough to study CS are struggling with this incredibly straightforward concept.
