AI will not directly replace all devs but the worry is that like 95% of devs won’t be needed anymore meaning the vast majority will be displaced, since an elite few will be able to do most of the work. Even if they get a million a year salary, the companies will still be saving hundreds of millions of dollars from labor, which I think is a very real possibility. And no AI isn’t good enough yet but it’s getting better at an exponential rate. It’s the first time AI has become “smarter” than the average human in history. Look at how much Sora improved in a year. Give it 10 years and I’m sure the impossible won’t exist as it does today
