You give an inch, they take a mile. This may not seem like a big deal now, but this kind of thing is only going to get creepier and more invasive without pushback.
Perhaps eventually we’ll see enough devices in public spaces equipped with facial recognition that it would be possible to track the movements of an individual throughout a city with some degree of accuracy. That kind of information could be a threat to someone’s safety in the wrong hands.
