I think automating this will become much easier with the 3rd party API access. You could custom-build a book writing API that allows it to access and update its own outline and notes, or even access already written parts at will. Look at the "TODO" example for inspiration. I don't know how to link directly to it but it's the very last video on [this page](https://openai.com/blog/chatgpt-plugins) labeled "ChatGPT plugins developer experience."
