Is the kind of stuff your do automatable (is this a word?)? For example I’m an engineer that most of my work is doing studies that require a lot of numerical modeling, said numerical model sometimes takes a week to run and then I need to do all the post processing of results. When I started the first thing I did was automate the data extraction and save it in a structure that is basically ready for my reports. So now I only have to set the model and write the report for which I basically have templates for. The guy that “trained” me was doing Al the data extraction manually when I started I he still doing it manually even though I told him that I had a script to simplify the process. His loss tho. Maybe try to find the tedious tasks (copying from this file to this file, formatting data, etc) that you can do with a simple script and start there but always look busy so they don’t dump more work on you because somehow you’re now more productive
