Lmao people here accusing India of finger pointing while having no shame here. Governments can say whatever since it's all theatre but judging by this thread i've seen no populace more indignant then US citizens in thinking they have a right to pollute. Noooo, we can't decrease our emissions because then we'd be cold in the winter, while conveniently forgetting that other countries decreasing their emissions would also lower their citizens quality of life. It's not China's and India's fault that they have a large population, and it's not the West's fault that they had a head start in industrialization and pollution before climate science was a thing. People are absolutely right when they say the planet doesn't give a fuck about per capita emissions, but if you want other people to sacrifice their lives, you'd better be willing to do the same, especially when you're likely living a better one than them.
