I think the point they were making was that it was subjective in the sense that a lot of people might assign moral worth to some things but others may not, so if we're using how people behave to determine morality then we have to account for these contradicting views. While I'd disagree that it means it's impossible to draw any moral conclusions, I do agree that just because people seem to apply morals in a certain way does not mean it's automatically the right way.
