It is so weird to talk about the mother-child analogy and then discuss competition for AI dominance. That dominance will surely not be about which AI cares more about the well being of humanity. It will be all about power, profits, replacing labour, surveillance, military superiority, etc. I fail to see the upside right now, but the downside is screaming at us.
