It's actually just yet another boomer problem, the new generation will be totally ok. Automation doesn't take any job out (and for at least the next few decades). Those machines don't design, build and repair themselves in autonomy. IT and automation are actually the fields that created the most jobs those last decades... But, yes, it move the workload from unqualified to said *skillfull* positions. *Skillfull* you say ? Yes, for my mother who needed 20 years to understand how to program the videocassette recorder, sure. But the new generations will totally be able to handle it, they were litterally born into it. It just clicks and makes sense to them while the olders are all lost. The hard reality is that most 20 years old guys involved in IT are actually now way better/smarter than most 50-y+ experienced IT engineers... And I feel that's actually the core source of collapse on a lot of topics... The world evolved too fast those last 20 years and our leaders are totally stuck in the last century. Look how it is recently talked about WSB lol... Those guys have no idea what reddit is and how it workds. They described it on tv as a "sophisticated chatroom"... Those guys are stuck in msn and aol times lol Oh, I'm 36y old if u wanna know, kind of in-between so :)
