This has happed time and time again in history, every time a new tech, people panic, the tech is not as good as described and people transition out of old automated jobs, and the next generation picks up new jobs in new areas. This will be just like the cotten gin, or like the myth of John Henery. And unfortunately the unions have forced this to happen more quickly, they hinder the individual in making a better position for them selves.
