I think you are way off the mark... Elon's a nut, but he wants to transform the auto industry and get it off of fossil fuels, and literally wants to save humanity by giving us a second home. The amount of his own money that he's thrown away for the betterment of humanity is astounding. The issue here is that he's also a crazy person. He dates 20-year-olds, calls people pedophiles, and in this case is insulting a competitor in the commercial space race simply because a conspiracy theorist's book didn't meet their established guidelines for Amazon publication. It's not a good look, but it isn't virtue signaling, and him being a wealthy CEO has nothing to do with monopolies... He doesn't run *any* retail business, much less the largest retailer on the planet. He's totally qualified to insult a shitty company like Amazon. But in reality he just doesn't want people funding Blue Origin every time they buy phone chargers and microwave popcorn.
