> which means that those vulnerable ones will catch it and die regardless of isolation. But it doesn’t just affect vulnerable people. Sure, it’s much more deadly for the elderly and those with compromised immune systems, but thousands of otherwise healthy Americans between the ages of 15-55 have already died from this. Besides, I hardly consider anyone over 65 “elderly,” and yet they are at very high risk. My generation’s parents are in their 60s-70s, and many of them are healthy and will probably live for decades more. COVID-19 could *decimate* that demographic. Not to mention there are a lot of vulnerable people who aren’t dying or old, and stand to live a long and full life; unless we decide that their lives aren’t worth it. TL;DR You are conflating the potential victims of COVID-19 with a demographic that already doesn’t have long to live, and that isn’t accurate. Not to mention the permanent lung damage it can cause it survivors of all ages.
