US is spending $600B in direct aid to people which is roughly $65B if adjusted to Canada’s population. The plan discussed in OP is worth USD$52B. The US bill is not jusy $1200 checks but $600/week EXTRA for those unemployed. Plus over a trillion in loans to companies with stipulation they don’t fire people
