Banning the use of it in court would have a decent effect but not hugely so.
Example: I use the facial recognition tech to find you in all the security camera footage available of an incident, but then I bring the printout of the frame in question. Though I used a banned technology, this does not fall afoul of the Fruit Of The Poison Tree issue because there are exemptions for if the evidence could have been obtained through other legal means, in this case a manual go through of the footage.
