I live in China, just yesterday I walked out of my classroom in the hot, muggy classroom for a drink. I flag down a student to help me with the vending machine, as it's the first time I've used on one campus and I wanted something to quench my thirst. If you were unaware, most financial transactions are done via your phone in China. You scan a QR code, or it scans yours, your balance goes down or up, and you have your product/service. However, this particular vending machine had a camera on it. My student mentioned 'or, you can use your face'. This was a facial recognition vending machine. I later later asked my students what they thought. Total acceptance. No problems, it's so easy to use, why are you being weird? -_-
