We don't need a "trickle" economy at all. People should get what they work for. Money shouldn't be moving up, it should stay among working people, who are all equal. The people who build automation: engineers, computer programmers (full disclosure I'm a programmer), etc. should reap the profits from the technologies they create. What we need is Sanders's federal job guarantee and tuition-free college so that people can learn and apply new skills that automation won't replace (most knowledge jobs). We still need doctors, physicists, writers, researchers, psychologists, ecologists, engineers, politicians, organizers, and construction workers.
