I rented a 1 bedroom apartment in the heart of Chiang Mai, the city in question, during 2011 and 2012. This was right in the middle of the heaviest tourist district of a very tourist-oriented town. My rent included good, high-speed internet, water, weekly maid service, cable, etc. My electricity usage was extra, and tacked onto my rent every month. On average my bill was $115 per month.
