The US is far ahead of other countries in unmanned drone combat and AI weapons development. We're already in the game and other countries are undoubtedly trying to catch up. Unless the UN got together and agreed to ban AI weapons development, it is not going away. You can bet China especially is moving forward as fast as they can with AI weapons development. The Russians too, but probably in a half-assed, doesn't really work kind of way.
