Thank you for bringing this up, Bernie. High time for more attention to this topic. I share your views. AI and robotics could be beneficial to us all if ownership and wealth were distributed so that everyone could benefit and have a good life. Not only workers, but everyone. Because there will be less workers needed. So there will be more and more people unemployed. So there is a system needed to ensure that wealth is distributed to all. Attention to sustainable energy, production, taking care of the planet, should be a part of it. So far, it's not going in that direction. We need countrywide and worldwide legislation to control IT developments and evaluate their possible negative effects. Ongoing monitoring and regular permit requirements should be in place to correct unwanted effects. What's more important even is that such technology shouldn't be owned by just a few persons/companies, like you said. They are already well on their way to controlling the world. Has anyone read "The Circle" by Dave Eggers? It's starting to look a lot like that.
