You're getting some hate, but I think you pose some interesting questions. I think people are missing the fact that you're taking about the *meme* of consciousness evolving and or sensing limitations in its environment. The problem is that, first this is a non intuitive and not quite mainstream way to think about evolution or consciousness. Second, it really puts things in a very deterministic view and doesn't give any criticism to the free will of the ai scientists. All in all its an interesting thought. I bet there are some other meta-evolutionary theories like this out there. I recall hearing once that life may be simply an efficient producer of entropy and hence an inevitable path for planetary physics.
