I'm gonna focus on the two most common predictions people get wrong. Autonomous Cars and Electricity. Autonomous will not be mainstream in 3 years. They will be available, but it will be a niche market and they'll be pricey. Similar to Tesla's now. We will not all stop buying cars and learning to drive. Some people in some big cities may do this but guess what ? That's always been the case. Coal will not be dead in 8years. Solar is cheap to install *in areas where the climate is suitable*. So it is unlikely that there will be many new coal fired plants but a power station has a multi decade life. We will still be burning coal throughout most of the first half of this century. Edit: For those still convinced autonomous cars are around the corner - https://techcrunch.com/2017/01/04/toyotas-research-institute-head-says-full-autonomous-driving-is-not-even-close/?ncid=rss
