As the top 1% re-invest their already staggering wealth into automated factories, they realize more of the profits and have to share their profits with fewer and fewer other people. When people get this rich, they do things like influence others with the possibility of making others richer as well. Politicians see the opportunity of large campaign contributions, Sheriff's who have to run for office want to keep the rich people, the mayor, the city council happy. Pretty soon, we have situations where really rich people can buy drugs, host drug fueled, out of control parties and use off-duty cops as security for those parties. If underaged girls are brought in to "service the party" no one complains. After all, no one is doing any of this against their will, right? If a couple of the girls complain afterwards that they were pressured into sex, well, they are "unreliable witnesses" and the cops involved (and they were involved, right?) will put forth different statements, proving that the girls are lying.
