of course they are -- they're constantly evaluating and monitoring their sourcing. You'll notice in the reports that there's no claim that the bad conditions are systematic -- the Asia Floor Wage report finds a mismanaged factory (singular) here and there. Ethical working conditions are central to these brands and they have teams of experts evaluating suppliers. But the pressure is no less acute on contractors and subcontractors to cut corners.
I don't suggest we accept even a single violation, but we shouldn't be surprised when we trade with poorly-regulated poor countries. But neither should we unskeptically accept these reports by organizations whose existence depends on the grandeur of their exposés.
