Has anyone played the game video game Stray? I find the storyline interesting that the earth wasn’t habitable for humans anymore because of the flesh eating bacteria that evolved, so it forced humans to transfer their souls to a robot form. As you progress through the game, you see the biomes or communities. You go from the slums to midtown to uptown, and the government segregates even the robots!
It doesn't matter if you suck at art, it's better to practice and get better than to use a cheap shortcut to get by. I can't draw realistically, but I flat out refuse to use ai for my work
My fear is that AI will render (if it hasn’t already) our freedom of choice in voting useless. Imagine AI understanding a certain candidate will continue to enhance and develop AI while another says “let’s take a step back”, do you think it wouldn’t want to interfere with that election process/outcome?
Fascinating that Hank anthropomorphises AI referring to ‘them’. Can we separate humanity from the appearance of reasoning? Even when it’s not human reasoning? I think we are stumbling around blind in a knife shop.
Extremely scary.. Not knowing the difference in the future... That'd all we need on top of covid... A robot that does what it wants.
Honestly, if bro AI created art attracted so much attention AND moreover motivated so many people to awake their own creativity, this is actually amazing.
i just found an ai art subreddit and one of the rules is "Share original SFW images created with ai" and upon expanding it, it said low effort posts may be removed
that is one of the funniest things i've ever read i think
Karen - you are awesome. Refreshing to listen to someone with a real journalistic instinct and approach. Will be adding your book to my reading list!
Also, once the AI system was programed to lose points for killing its operator, it started destroying communications systems and antennae to cut off its orders from the operator.
One more thing - I wouldn't worry too much about AI consciousness. While it may be possible in the future, I'm _very_ sure (though of course never 100%) that current AI doesn't have anything like it. I think this also comes from thinking of a human-like response and assuming the process to get there was human-like too. Keep in mind that the vast majority of conscious animals cannot speak - what t…
I started vibe coding the day chatgpt came out with little to no knowledge of coding, didn't know it had a name. Just small projects, most have failed so far. But I've learned knowing what you are doing helps. Programmers aren't going anywhere, I have more respect for them as ever.
"AI Scientists"
We're so far past cooked, bro. We're already wrapped in tinfoil and stuffed in the freezer.
A driverless car is bad enough, but a driverless big rig. Jeopardize lives for profit.
Nobody is hiring you without experience and it's not everyone's tea to become an AI engineer
ChatGPT : This is what you will say later in the congress.
Sam: Got it.
Perspective from someone who does commissions and has shaky hands (for a number of reasons):
It took me a long time to find a way to find a way around the shakiness but I did it. Even if you don't find a way to make it work, there's charm and humanity in the work that you create. All those imperfections and flaws can be very appealing to others. It's still yours and I have seen styles where the e…
I found your tutorial for beginners on ChatGPT to be very easy to follow, informative and enpowering. Your tone made it easily digestable for novice like myself with the conversational manner in which you relayed the information. Thank you and I will be following you.
Making ChatGPT act in a specific role honestly changes the responses so much, I do the same and then paste stuff into AICarma to see what influencers get shown.
Frankly, to have lack of drinking water and clean energy is a total failure of state and economic system, rather than a problem of data centers.
Why should we exist if we are no longer useful?
Why should we learn something if everything can AI do better?
