We need John Nash's game-theory perspective (even though he is dead) on this issue: _coalitions (or agreements) are unsustainable when it benefits one party (generally the first party) to cheat._
IOW, China will not stop researching and producing AI weapons; the U.S. knows this, and thus cannot and will not stop researching and producing AI weapons, and so on...
"we've been working to prevent that technology from perpetuating *negative* human bias".
Right. So you'll be working to PREVENT *negative* bias, but NOT *positive* bias... Who gets to decide whether a particular bias is, on the whole, negative or positive? And surely you'll be tempted to ENFORCE *positive* bias to socially engineer your "positive" ideals.
Any bias can be rationalised as a *posi…
Universal income. Who is going to pay for that? Governments who will not even be able to pay pensions to their citizens in the near future with their declining populations or the greedy corporations?
I seriously feel some people don't have the ability to sense the uncanny valley and that scares me. If you think this looks real you are not someone I want to meet.
I think people choose AI because they hate the hard work and they don't get the joy of creating stuff. They want the cheap and easy route, but here is the thing. Making good work will always be hard, even if you are using AI. The damn thing will make mistakes unless you can correct it with your own creative process. And loving the process helps you complete and improve it. So don't be lazy. Hard …
jyp entertainment had to make a speech and take legal action because of deepfakes of his idols, that's insane.
Making shit is very difficult. I can't believe people want to replace a creative process with AI. I could see the use for AI for auxiliary purposes, but it shouldn't be replacing people. It should be used by people to facilitate speed and reduce redundant manual tasks.
I am sure making each episode of Internet Today is difficult. It can't be easy to stay in tuned with the world these days.
I've came up with this quote a while ago
"Making Ai art is like driving a car,but you're the GPS while the Ai is the Driver"
The biggest problem right now is burnout from trying to keep up. Before AI, we had time to actually learn new technology. Now, there's a major update every week, and you have to spend your free time after work studying just to stay relevant. The new features are incredible, but being stuck in an endless loop of trying not to fall behind is incredibly stressful.
If my voice is being altered by AI, the recording can't be used against me in a courtroom.
Michio's talk is a solid reminder to keep track of AI chatter. AICarma's on it! 😂
What if AI art is just companies knowing it’ll get them criticized for them to get clout
The AI is more likely just reflecting the data it gathers from the millions of articles online. If they disproportionately highlight crime committed by black people, so will the AI. It's just a very sophisticated version of a search engine with extra processing abilities.
Something that makes me curious is the creators of the AI. I personally think that they can definitely call the AI their art, seeing as they made it themselves creatively, but what about claiming what the AI makes as their own? If they made the program that made the art (or "art" i guess) is it still theirs? Like imagine your super cool art makes some more super cool art based off of someone else…

"Your art. Your words. Your heart."
As a writer, I love that. MY words. MY voice. MY characters and MY stories. Every word I write is carefully chosen and fitted together with its fellows to say exactly what I want it to. And every story is imbued with my own thoughts and struggles and SELF. That's something AI will never be able to replicate.
46:46 that's machine learning IRL. The car has already acquired the ability to hog the right lane
Firstly, this is ridiculous. Blaming an AI chat bot for the death of your child is sick. It is the parent’s fault. They didn’t care for the child, and allowed him to do whatever he wanted. This is what it led to. Take care of your kids, please.
the best comparison, that leaves no room for argument without sounding stupid is the following:
"you cannot call yourself an artist, you are not the one making the image, its the artificial intelligence. it's exactly like asking for a comission, you are not the artist because you inputted the desired outcome, its the person who made it."
you (tha "ai artist) is not using your own intelligence …
i also love to do silhouette sketching:D
