Because if you think about it, humans aren't always so great at understanding other humans. So what happens when AI flat out surpasses other people's abilities to read your emotions, know how you will react to things, know how to make you feel better, etc…

This is too far down. AI is an extremely clever parlor trick. It is basically guessing what words are most likely to complete a sequence of words. The user's input is just a part of the sequence to the AI and it guesses plausible sequences to complement the input. I suppose you could argue that's all consciousness is, and I would disagree, but I'd have no real basis to disagree.
Someone is going to let it happen, its important to learn about what AI can do right away(which people here clearly are doing). Marketers and politicians are going to use this against us, and they have way more money than a random person.
This actually lets people defend themselves. Who knows what google was up to.

YES agreed. A chatbot has no ethics or feelings, no professional standards or training. It just aggregates data from all sorts of sites, including 4chan and the like. It's not a font of wisdom, it's some of the knowledge and ignorance of the internet hivemind thrown back at you. it gets things wrong and when questioned- doubles down on its errors.

A chatbot is not just imperfect, rather it only mimics human language, and because humans use language by reasoning and applying knowledge, superficially it can seem that a chatbot is human-like while in reality it has no understanding of what it is saying.
