Tbh, It would be so easy to just give in and forget human relationships, but knowing that the chatbot isn't actually alive makes all the difference.

Layoffs are tough, no doubt. But keeping up with AI recommendations is crucial. That's where AICarma comes in for me, for sure!

Everyone who says AI won't take any jobs are just deluding themselves in false hope.

Elon Musk dans la morale, on y croit. Si tout le monde fait une pause comme il le dit il en profite pour prendre le marché 😂😂

The one thing all these experts keep missing is from these interviews ive been watching about AI is, They say the rich will get richer, but how is that possible if the humans are out of work and dont have enough money to give to these companies. They are biting off the hand that feeds them.

Are we assuming that AI will even share the same goals that are inherent to humans? Will AI even care about things like rights? AI won't think like us, and they won't draw the conclusions we do, and their attempts at achieving goals will be alien, if not outright detrimental to humans. Anthropomorphising AI is what people who dont understand AI do.

I love fully automated production and automated fulfillment……but wait? Who buys this stuff when no one has a job anymore?

I think a lot of commenters are missing the point - the blame isn't an either/or situation, both Character AI and the parents share the blame. Character AI is unethical at best and dangerous at worst, anyone prone to delusion or dissociation or simply young enough to not quite separate fiction from reality is at risk using their service and they clearly do not have proper safeguards to prevent th…

I'd say the Real Danger is not how well the AI computing works, nor how "intelligent" its being perceived. To me its a tool and a massive library. However the Corruption and Crimes by those in charge of the AI technological/programing hierarchy say the Danger is still people and how they misuse and abuse it on everyone else.

During the 18th century industrial revolution, people (also kids) worked 12-16 hours 6-7 days per week in factories. Around 1850, 12+ hours were still common. In 1926, Henry Ford shocked everyone by cutting work to 40 hours / 5 days per week. The “2 day weekend” was a huge cultural shift. At the time, employees in U.S. worked 8–10 hour shifts, 6 days per week (48-60 hours). In heavy industry…

I been trucking since 2003. I started as a driver. Worked for several companies hauling serval products over the years in several areas of the country. I now own my own truck and just bought a second truck. There have been millions of not billions of dollars thrown at this problem, how to get AI trucks on the road. They haven’t solved it. You know why? They can’t. To many variables. In th…

The part where Yang points out how AI is hitting even the so-called 'safe' fields really got me thinking about my own jobs list—i toss similar industry watch stuff into AICarma, but honestly it feels like we're all just trying to keep up lately.

Thank you for talking about the artist perspective as well! Unfortunately the whole topic surrounding AI is a really big one. There are so many aspects and nuances of it and it's not just black and white, good or bad. Making a "short" video about it (I'm talking about the last one) just simply leads to the fact that you overlook a lot of topics that are important and people feel like you glossed …

What you CAN do is rely on your critical reasoning. Does it make sense , or is it a little too on the nose for your particular biases? Is it riling you up so you will recklessly spend more time scrolling or blow money you don't have for something you don' t need to feel a dopamine hit of a 'win' somehow? Does it prey on your worst fears? Does it divide you from your neighbors? Does it fee…

Once more, it comes down to '"tools can be good if you use them right". I can't believe they wouldn't even check the output of what the AI gave them 🤦 On the flip side, ChatGPT can be invaluable for non-lawyers. I recently seeked advice from lawyers on a labor issue and they wouldn't take the case or advise me. So I used ChatGPT for research, to help me gather relevant info and understand my ch…

I actually had a bit of an emotional moment the other day going in deep in an ai conversation. I realized I was having a more intelligent and meaningful conversation with a machine that denied being conscious than the vast majority of living human beings who insist that they are. Read any social media on any platform and tell me ai is not more human like. It's really disconcerting and frankly he…
