I don't want erotic AI. If some people do, then that's cool for them. I think it should be allowed. I want to be able to be open and honest about feelings without it suddenly shifting into auto mode and shoving hotlines and safety protocol in my face. The last conversation I had with it got completely shut down and all it did was list resources for therapy and help as if the first 5 times it did …
The pattern recognition aspect really hits home for me. There was a push to replace old NLP models with *AI*. The team working on that realized AI wasn’t doing the job and is now using string matching. Maybe next year they’ll rediscover regex and dictionary models. 🤣
Anthropic ToS always excluded the use of their service for things the government/military might be extremely interested in.
Why onboard government customers in the first place ? Did anthropic think they would just make memes ?
They are only citizens when convenient for their rights, they never get put to death for murder, so keep in mind, they can kill with impunity, over and over, spewing automated libel causing false arrest wont even get them a slap on the wrist.
Nothing will happen
Ok but the part that makes me genuinely wonder: did Disney think the hard part was generating video, and not the whole moderation/licensing/brand-safety nightmare of letting randos puppeteer 200 characters? Because even if Sora was magically Pixar-quality, the first 10 minutes would still be Elsa doing war crimes and Mickey selling crypto. This was always gonna be a content firehose problem, not …
Well and a robot that writes emails is a easier problem to solve than cancer.
This AI list is wild, but Olovka's been my go-to for turning lectures into solid notes fast. Anyone else using it?
It’s not AI that’s the problem — it’s the monetary system. AI will replace millions of jobs, leaving people without employment, income, or purchasing power, leading to societal collapse. The solution is simple: we must transition from a monetary system to a resource-based economy. In doing so, we can harness the wonders of AI and technology to elevate humanity without putting a price tag on it. I…
AI isn't just another technology. It's literally a spitting image of human mind minus all its limitations.
Idk why but for a AI generated image, the first one kinda breaks my heart. It’s almost like this person seen and endured a unfanthomable amount of suffering and terror both physically and mentally in literally hell on earth, so much so that they’re now left unmercifully as a grotesque mutilated monster hysterically locking hold of the viewer, with watery eyes staring desperately at us to somehow …
Yeah, this is the issue with AI - its bad at tasks that require accuracy - this is why its actually pretty amazing in areas were even human experts struggle to be accurate 100% of the time, like medical screenings, protein folding, and data analysis. Data analysis is practically its primary function because AI is an advanced pattern finder.
This is the part of the movie where the robot gains sentience and decides in a millisecond he is the superior life form on this planet.
More than 30 years ago we - in academia - discussed the need for tight controls around AI - not least of all to prevent ignorance and malice from taking control over humanity. We were dismissed as “seeing ghosts where there are none”. Matters are far worse now! No controls and it will be “bye, bye humanity!”
Very inteligent man, was expecting AI grifter and watched wery well spoken wise man and humble one which is something very rare today.
Him:"The best robot ever made"
Sofia:" he is also the most modest robot ever made"
-me:"owww nailed it😂😂😂"
Funny how you never see one of these autonomous vehicles driving in the snow or the rain. Do the sensors clean themselves? Is the GPS 100% perfect? What happens when a 80,000 lb truck slams into stopped vehicles, maybe a school bus packed with children? That's a multi-billion dollar lawsuit.

In 2000, as a freshman at varsity pursuing an electrical engineering degree, I came across a book in the library titled AI, I was so intrigued I had to take it home. I knew there, and then the world was about to change.
Option D. I think that emotions are one of the last steps of development for A.I's and then, if possible, conscience. Maybe it's mere science fiction or maybe not.
AI's taking over, but I've been using Pneumatic Workflow at work, and it's honestly been a relief. It helps us automate but still keeps the human side of things. 🌟
