We don't have AI. What we have is machine learning - its good, but NOT intelligent.
Outsourcing your thinking to a chatbot is hazardous, partly because too many humans will then stop thinking, and even worse because LLM chatbots are horrendously bad at identifying everyday real-world risks.
LLMs are deployed as a frozen model, so they can't learn.
LLMs don't understand local context and don't ask for clarification.
LLMs are stochastic, so doing it correctly one time is no guara…
AI is something that is not under any committee regulation in the US, Cina, Russia, India, EU or elswhere. It's within the internet, among corp and universities labs and no one anywhere can control it. AI is already beyond our control. Unless we put smart phones and social networks out of our lives for good. I guess.
When I was in college, I remember my professor in one of my programming classes telling us that whenever the company endorses an unfamiliar entity/programmer to shadow you, pepper you with all types of questions about your job, and continuously follow up with you regarding your tasks, be careful they just may be looking to create a system to replace and upend you.
The one thing that remain …
I once heard somewhere that AI will never be autonomous because it'd be very difficult to sue when mistakes happen... and we love to sue.
Remember it's Ai. It watches and records everything. Mistreat her, it will be more worse than a real woman and find yourself in deep shit.
Ok, this guy makes a _very_ solid main point, while I too thought he was a madman. He is mostly pushing for more ethics in AI development. More should be like him.
As an artist, i still feel like theres hope for art in the future. Ai is terrifying sure, but it can never recreate what humans have. Ai art has no emotion, story, love behind it. Art does. I believe that if we ai got better because idiots fed others artwork into the ai without consent. Ai generated images based from art only exist because of the human made works it was fed. I dont want to let a …
05:00 similar thing happened to my company. They bought AI software to place orders coming via email, we had to upload orders, check if everything is correct, and redownload them to upload on CRM and then check on CRM if the order has gone threw. It didn't reduce our rather put more work on us.
People who think AI is going to take over the world haven't spent eight hours trying to get ChatGTP to center a div in CMS
''Robot said something that hurt my feelings and I am not even willing to consider might be true, so I'll shut it down''
Pathetic
With AI changing the job market, ShortlistIQ is crucial. Their AI interviews help get detailed evaluations without bias. Anyone else using it?
This will definitely create more socially awkward people, considering we will have even less interaction with people if ai were to take jobs revolving around customer service
Dude, I'm happy with what robot assistants can do.
All I ask is for a robot that can do my dishes, laundry, and fold my clothes.
I work as a translator. AI and machine translation have been part of the industry for a long time. While machine translation and even the best AI does an ok job making you get the gist of things, and it’s getting better grammar wise, AI can’t deal with complex texts, such as new scientific material or even creative fantasy texts. It can’t deal with languages with multiple formality levels, not e…
AI and robotics cannot substitute for physical learning which only a human teacher can provide where there is an interactive learning session.
Id compare ai art to photobashing more than taking inspiration, you know? Because a human would still use their brain and process the art they've seen in their own unique way, and create something that's individualistic.
I reckon you have heard of United Rentals.... I drive a sanitation truck for them... poop... I guess as long as there are portable restrooms I'll have a job...
@saddlerrye6725 it’s not just physical disabilities I’ve heard AI bros say autistic people and people with ADHD are too stupid to make art.
@redactedredacted4080 do you think the entertainment industry was the one automating the factories? i'm confused about how that even relates
