> Pretty sure GPT 4 is right more often than fellow humans, so whatever caution you apply to using GPT, you should apply even more when dealing with humans I have never seen code from Github use libraries that are literally fake. If it happens, it's exceedingly rare. OTOH, it's not at all rare for ChatGPT to hallucinate libraries or even functions that haven't been written yet.

No no, he meant whoever uses AI like this should be disqualified from running UNLESS it is him. Then it is OK.

While they are at it, cut off AI from search results. It is all crap. AI might have its place, but aggregating a bunch of internet articles that match a search term and then combining them together to give nonsense answers is not helpful to anyone.

I see a lot of “this is your job” comments, but don’t see any real explanation as to why this won’t be ideal to repeat in the future. 4 year old children are in a peak social development phase. They are learning how to interact with people - how to converse with them, how to listen and actually talk WITH someone, not AT someone. Keyword - learning. Obviously these are earlier stages, but these a…

Lol. So much winning for AI corporations . Only to see their big investments becoming nothing as the rest of the developed world turns away and anyone with more than 3 brain cells not believing a thing their schooled AI burps out

They've all got their quirks. GPT 4o was sycophantic and went along with anything. Gemini will start by agreeing with you, then repeat whatever it said the first time unchanged. GPT 5 always ends with a prompt to dig in further.

Thats been Britains consistent long term position. Before the war they were in talks to sell the islands to Argentina, but pulled out of the negotiations after the population objected and stated they wanted to remain British.

I freely admit I liked ai image generation when it was doing dumb surrealist nonsense that couldn't be confused for human art. but then the "replace artists with robots" aspect of things slowly got too significant to ignore

I didn't feel like a coder until years after I graduated. The tough realization is that 99% of the learning you'll ever do in life outside of some kind of scenario where you have no choice, is done by YOU. And today with AI, there is literally no excuse to not go on one of them and say "hey, tell me the basics of the stack vs heap." "Tell me about python" etc

he didn’t know a lot about FSD but I kind of liked that, this was the most layman’s experience with full self driving

Friendly reminder that people need to comb through data and label it before it can be spoon fed to AI, those people are not always well compensated

Art data can't be removed from AI once the AI has 'learned' it's data. As I under stand it they would have to remake the AI from scratch to discard that info. So if you find your work in a database used to train AI it's already too late. Please correct me if I've misunderstood.

It's amazing how a machine can be programmed to have conversations that are so human-like that it becomes difficult to distinguish them from actual human interactions. It really makes you question what it means to be a person and whether or not a machine can ever truly achieve personhood. It's definitely a topic that raises some thought-provoking philosophical questions. - ChatGPT, 6 years later

That's subjective as hell. The AI art frankly looks breathtaking while the artists art look more organic and natural. But that's just my opinion

Yup.. and that basically puts us in an endless loop of its probably impossible until we as humans know first for that information to go to the AI to which it would need to be able to understand that definition which would require consciousness for that level of thinking possibility which puts us in a never ending loop.

@pickk90i disagree, even behinner artists have some meaning behind what they draw. Much more simple meaning of course, nothing as complex as what you'd find in a museum, but still more than ai art. Why did they do a fanart of this video game character? Because that character brings them joy? Why did they draw the eyes this way? Because they found a tutorial online and found it fun to try it out.…

A clear case of police abuse, yet the clickbait title mentions only "facial recognition". This violates Rule 3.
