If there is 20% unemployment, there is going be a massive decline in corporate revenue which defeats the purpose of investing in AI.
I really like your approach in comforting people, as you point out that generated images or generated stuff in general isn’t copyrightable. And I see the way you see it. Human art will not disappear.
However, I don’t agree with your comparison to 3D. It’s a different set of skills that you need, but you still need the basics in art (anatomy, lighting etc.). As for image generators, you need non…
Conspiracy theory:
Microsoft publically said they didnt sell facial recognition tech to law enforcement but actually did, and now criminals will think they are safe and will still commit crimes, leading them right into the cop's trap.
The point isn't that he/she is trying to spite their local areas, but that no one wants to throw money around on unnecessary niceties. Eating out and breweries are more expensive than making food at home and drinking from a 6 pack you bought at Walmart. People didn't/don't know how secure their financial future is so they want to save what they have
Wow... this comment section is full of people going all white-saviour and rambling about warlords like they know anything about African politics.
Why do you want to make people do jobs a machine can do for humanity? Why is it so important to maintain our current system of slavery and boring mundane jobs that can be automated? Oh no, we don't have people pissing in bottles anymore. We don't have coders killing themselves due to abusive bosses and crunch or on-call. We're not losing valuable jobs. We're losing jobs people don't need to d…
AI is “ruining the world” by “taking all the jobs” and it’s like…cool. Let’s all sit around eating mango, having orgies, and playing D&D. Embrace post-scarcity and replace competing with a real personality. It’s fine.
Wow, responses written by chatGPT getting checked by chatGPT. Truly the future. Thanks DOGE for this money saving hack, please send me my fat Nazi daddy titty suckling 5k please
Why are you using 4.5 for coding? It’s specifically *not* optimized for coding. It’s a natural language, writing model.

You nailed it. People have been criticizing OpenAI’s model naming quagmire for years now, complete with memes and all, right here on Reddit. The sudden hypocrisy and hyperbole over them fixing this is just disingenuous at best. People need to tune their knee-jerk outrage meter back a little bit.
However, limiting access through the API is where I think they went too far. That decision doesn’t re…

Some people will lose their jobs. Others will lose their savings. There will be a recession as the economy balances out. A few AI companies will survive and dominate their niche markets. 5 years later everyone will laugh about it and make jokes. 10 years later the next bubble will start to inflate and the cycle will repeat.
There's nothing new except the widget. It's the same song and dance.
My newest project is actually cleaning up all the AI shit the previous developer used. It's baaaad. It kinda looks like it works on the surface if you don't dig into it that much. But is fundamentally wrong and impossible to maintain even if it was correct.
Maybe it'll be like the Y2K bug where there's tons of money in cleaning up this mess.
I am writing a book. In the preface, I insist on informing the reader that in no case was AI used in my work, whether research, editing, nothing, absolutely. The value of human creation cannot be measured by the same yardstick as artificial works.
I've had people tell me my entire life not to be an artist and go find a more normal career like plumbing, so the AI bros aren't really saying anything new lol
So you're telling me that there's a possibility where in the future, an AI austrian artist might be rejected from an AI art school?
Fun fact: disney is already using ai test to see if it good enough to replace some workers
interesting topic, Winston AI’s perfect for seeing if text leans more human or AI, worth a quick check
Random dude gets put on the heat list bc ai said they are most likely to be involved in a shooting: *gets shot twice*
There are no way these predictions are remotely realistic and you're likely being desceptive in how you're presenting it as "these workers will be replaced" rather than "this much demand for jobs is predicted to be decreased in this field by this company which is insentivised to overpredict the usefulness of AI"
