This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://japan-forward.com/exiled-gynecologist-reveals-details-of-chinas-forced-sterilization-of-uyghur-women/) reduced by 91%. (I'm a bot)

>IUDs are considered non-surgical sterilization \[1\]
This article you linked specifically said IUD is NOT one of the sterilization option. What you said was very very wrong and not at all mentioned in your linked article. IUDs are never an option for sterilization. Please don't mislead other people if you are not qualified or not have the relevant medical knowledge.
> but I do understand why many 3rd world countries refuse to take side.
The main reason they take China's side is money. China has been systematically dumping money into a lot of poorer countries around the world to gain favour. I forget whether they are gaining access to resources or just interest on it but they benefit too I believe. But yah. Money
I don’t think this is necessarily true as ByteDance (aka TikTok) has an even more addictive social media platform and they publish extremely interesting work.
Seedance was released recently and it seems to be almost competitive with Google’s Veo3 model.
Though I do largely agree on your point about the Scale AI acquisition being pretty strange and the XAI part.
Yup, exactly, same experience here. Any LLM solution I’ve seen - whether designing it myself or seeing the work of my peers - has failed spectacularly. This tech crumbles when faced with real, back office business problems. People seem to forget that we’re working with a probabilistic, hallucination prone text predictor, not the digital manifestation of a human-like super intelligence. Arguably w…
Yes. When you see "nurse -11%" it's pretty clear this is massively confounded by something else.
The fact that "medical scribe" is in decline could be due to AI, but when you have to cut costs, who would you lay off first: nurses or scribes?
I have to say, there isn’t much that truly scares me. I have full trust that God is in control. But AI really worries me.
AI shouldn't be involved in these things in the first place. Even if they weren't "racist", this is dystopian af. Imagine the police watching you not because they have proof you actually did anything wrong but because an algorithm said you're likely to. How could anyone possibly stand behind that?
Terminator....the movie series which warned us of the AI danger decades ago....but all we did was cheer Schwarznegger, and close our eyes to the message behind the movie...
"Nightshade is abuse!"
Yeah, how dare those artists abuse AI by not letting it steal their art?
AI "artist" trying to make any real argument that isn't "well you're doing the same thing" or "I'm too lazy".
As someone who uses ai daily, and have been for the last 3 years, I was finally shocked last week when I talked to an ai bot as if it were a famous therapist and it actually helped me deal with something that's been bothering me the last 20 years.
I tested it, but honestly, it depends on the detector. Winston AI is so precise that it flagged my essay even when I thought it might pass.
We don't have enough energy for EV's, but somehow we're going to have enough for these Data centers for AI. I'm confused 😮 and some States want both.
After reading 12 Codes of Collapse, I realized AI won’t take over. It already has. We’re just too distracted to notice it’s running the show.

To be fair they don't have as much demand for electricity as 1st world countries, but it's still awesome to see when countries go fully green.
Cuba is a gold mine for classic car enthusiasts. Because of the embargo they could not get new cars every few years. They have kept older models running for decades out of necessity.
There is difference between asking ChatGPT questions and watching some brainrot content, but it is really fucking sad that FOUR year old is two hours on phone and alone with it.
Despite what he wrote, he actually cannot ignore "the mob". DeviantRahll made a video response to the "Love Letter to A.i.", and Shad went to his secondary "Knight Watch" channel with a buddy of his so they can shake heads in disapproval and pretend they are dismissing things without a care in the world, but considering the time it took for the 3 hour video to come out and the fact 1400+ posts ha…
