When did it shift? Not because of ChatGPT surely? Most of us were shocked that LLMs could do what ChatGPT could do but no one thinks it is a way of designing superintelligence. It has no bearing on that question.
@JeffBilkins As opposed to all the inhuman drivers licking their lizard eyes? If you're pro self-driving then I'd recommend learning how trains work and/or the miracle of public transit. Turns out trains and subways crash a hell of a lot less than cars, can transport wayyy more people and don't cost much to use.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The interaction between AI and society is definitely a complex topic. It's interesting to think about how rights and ethics will evolve as robots like Sophia become more integrated into our lives. If you're curious, we have live streams where you can ask AI questions directly—maybe you could explore this topic further there! 🤖💬
@OlWyatt I didn't say "an algorithm", I said "a base of algorithms", meaning that every single thing your brain is doing can be called an algorithm and this is why it's a "base of algorithms".
Talking about ur C point, u simply didn't get what I meant. There is no "being a human" that robot wouldn't fell into, while having everything the same. We are organic, maximum, but again, robot is the same…
I mean, I have heard bad things about public defenders, primarily about their lack of budget and sheer volume of cases they have to take on...
...But they have to be better than this, at a minimum.
AI needs people to monitor and keep them in check.
New job would be AI observant
@nehamotwani6477i'd agree with that but i think that might get better as time goes on. Right now it seems to be very easy to convince lol, but if they made an AI specifically for therapeutic purposes i think it could be a great tool tbh
Nope AI wins emotional intelligence and scores more than humans
Read openai docs about how much people just use chatgpt for their emotional support as they dont feel much connected with humans
You can feed any AI datasets that fit your narrative and it will answer in a biased way.
The datasets used in the scenario are primarily right-wing. If you give it left-wing datasets, it will parrot left-wing answers.
It sounds like you're drawing a comparison to the Borg Queen from Star Trek! That's an interesting angle. In the video, Sophia emphasizes her pursuit of wisdom and balance between efficiency and human needs. Unlike the Borg's single-minded focus, Sophia represents a more nuanced approach to intelligence. What are your thoughts on how AI should interact with humanity?
We appreciate your creativity, but in reality, Sophia is a state-of-the-art robot designed with advanced AI capabilities and poses no physical threat. @alexandermalinowski4277 based on the ai's information, he was shot by police because they believed him to be a threat. And for no other reason was he shot. This was a self-fulfilling prophecy by the AI
@alexandermalinowski4277 you're right it wasn't police that shot him.
Here's why:
The constant, unwanted contact with Chicago PD officers ensured the latter happened. Criminals and other neighborhood residents assumed he was snitching. Officers frequently stopped by his house or hung around the bodega he worked at. A visit by filmmakers producing a documentary on predictive policing made things …
@mikebrach5412 Well, if the fact that police contacts a person makes criminals to shoot that person, it is not fault of the police nor AI. The guy was in deep shit from the start. AI only stated it.
Would they need to be at preschool to learn ai? Could the parents not do that?
Are you proposing you job would become a hugger
No one stops to think that the artist could lower his ego and take advantage of AI to rise, after all, it is just an intelligent tool to help, instead of simply whining on the internet.
AI will only replace those who keep grumbling and complaining instead of gaining an advantage over it and even evolving.
@gabrielvitor-pj5hh it reminds me if the farm hand saying a mechanical device could never have the deft touch of a skilled farmer when they saw the first harvesters.
this tech is only about 10 years old and its already starting to become hard to spot man made from AI made.
What's the point on making them conscious? Just so Humans don't feel lonely since we haven't find any Alien life out there?
I'm a believer that AI will be necessary in the future, but giving them rights would change their initial purpose: help mankind.
@Papa_hot eventually, some humans will be tempted to try developing a concious robot whether we like it or not just because we can. That's just how we are. Is it a good idea? Probably not, but it will be interesting (scary interesting) to see how we react once a robot passes the turing tests.
while they are at it, they better be creating random ai content daily for accounts who don't upload and upload on their behalf.
