The thing that AI bros always seem to get wrong is that art is not a commodity. It’s a form of communication. Saying AI art is just as good or better than human art is like saying you don’t need friends when you can talk to the graffiti on bathroom walls. Both involve words, so what’s the difference?

Unfortunately big corporate and government don’t care about regulating AI. More money for corporations and more control of the people for the government.
It would be better to get data from various industries and then make a conclusion. AI won't affect all industries equally so making assumptions based on 1-2 niche is not a good idea

I work in an industry that is EXTREMELY right wing. Half the company has a "f**k Trudeau " sticker on their car or a guy pissing on a liberal flag.
However, I've noticed that even the guys up here are extremely impressed by how our government is handling this mess. I have actually heard some compliments towards Trudeau which is unheard of up here haha.

As someone who is relatively high up in a multi billion dollar IT firm, I was shocked when they decided in a meeting that we will do mass layoffs and say it's because of AI and we've improved OPM to boost share prices and pleases shareholders (That worked wonderfully), then quietly hire the same or more number of people as freelancers so we don't have to pay employment benefits.
